Welcome to the Alaska Recreation and Park Association

Welcome to the home of the Alaska Recreation & Park Association!

What is ARPA? ARPA was established in 1975 and is a not-for-profit 501c3 professional and public interest organization comprised of over 100 active members and growing. The general purpose and the nature of this association is exclusively educational for the furtherance of parks, recreation & wildlands opportunities throughout the State of Alaska. We offer fantastic networking opportunities through our virtual round tables and trainings throughout the year. We are a diverse group of professionals from all over the last frontier: from city parks and recreation employees to university professors & students. These professionals, like you, are the folks who keep things moving. We develop programming, organize summer camps and run community events. We design, maintain, and create community resources like recreational facilities, parks, playgrounds, and trails. Our organization includes so many amazing members in the parks and recreation field & we would love you to join us!

If you are not a current member, you will need to compete the membership process by clicking on Register button, then selecting Membership. Select the appropriate level and follow the prompts to complete the process.
